INTERVIEW WITH T.S. WILEY
The following is from a recent interview between TS Wiley, CEO of Wiley Systems, and Michael Jelinek, Managing Editor of NHD (Natural Health Dossier)

Michael Jelinek: Are there any studies in progress about the longterm effects of BHRT?

TS Wiley: There are studies in Europe. In the United States... not much. We just did a five-year study on breast cancer recurrence, osteoporosis, and clotting factors on 112 women. And we’re just finishing up five years on breast cancer.

We also are doing an ongoing observational study on safety and efficacy on the Wiley Protocol at University of Texas, Tyler. And we’re about to launch a genomic study. We’ll be looking first at cancer genes - which are switched on at day 12 and off at day 21 in a normal menstrual cycle.

Michael Jelinek: Exciting... and really interesting.

TS Wiley: My goal was to standardize the methods, material, pricing, and packaging of the Wiley Protocol so that we could study it. We have pharmacies that have cooperated handsomely. And now we can say to the federal government, to the NIA, the FDA... that we are studying compounding in a way that nobody has.

The premise in the US is that compounding is individualized. So you walk into a pharmacy with a compound prescription and they make it for you. That’s great, but it doesn’t allow for anyone to study it. I found the loophole. I invented something that was made individually. But it can be dose modified. In other words, it’s individualized through dose modification. But it is standardized through the making or compounding of it

Michael Jelinek:
So what makes BHRT natural?

TS Wiley: What makes it natural is not the question. BHRT, often called natural hormone replacement, simply insinuates that it wasn’t made by a drug company. Drug companies take the same raw materials and turn them into a drug. Then they patent it. They say, “This is progestin. This is not progesterone anymore.”

Natural hormone replacement therapy has not been altered so it isn’t patentable. But I have a patent. I got a patent on something that makes it even more natural. That is the biomimetic or mimicking of the biological dosing cycle. I have the only patented BHRT in the US... maybe in the world... Read More

HPVMany Women Underestimate Fertility Clock's Clang
Thanks to wonderful marketing techniques we have all heard that “60 is the new 40 and 40 is the new 20”. This perception has created a belief system in women of child bearing age that there’s plenty of time to have children and fertility will just continue well into ones 40’s and 50’s. Women think they can now “have it all”, lots of education followed by successful careers, and postponing child bearing to some future date.

T.S. Wiley notes, "Many women in their forties and fifties today didn’t reproduce at all or reproduced once or twice late in life. Medicine defines “late in life” as over twenty-six years old; in fact, any pregnancy after the age of twenty-eight is called a geriatric pregnancy in the reproductive endocrinology textbook. This is being brought to your attention because the age at which you reproduced— or didn’t—has an impact on your overall health for the rest of your life."

So what happens if women wait till their 40’s to get started?

A new survey finds a big disconnect when it comes to fertility. The age women think they can conceive a baby is far different from what their bodies are actually capable of. This poses an increasing problem, as more women wait longer than ever to have children.

Kate Donnellon Nail never imagined she'd have trouble conceiving. For one thing, people always tell the San Francisco musician she looks much younger than her 43 years... Read More

wileyWill YOUR Marriage Survive the Menopause?
There are numerous testimonials on the Wiley website, from women, about how the Wiley Protocol saved their lives and especially their marriages. But what about women who aren’t on the Wiley Protocol? We have all heard the horror stories of woman’s plights through menopause. For women, the menopause is a time of profound change, both physically and emotionally. But what of the husbands and partners they share their lives with? How does this critical period in a woman’s life affect them? It’s a sorry state of affairs that Menopause, a state that can occur for well over 30 years, isn’t being discussed in a way that can make a positive difference in people’s lives and hence their marriages.

It’s a subject that touches millions, but is rarely spoken about. Until now. In her new book, psychotherapist Sue Brayne persuaded a group of men, all married to women who were going, or had gone, through the menopause, to open up about their experiences.

Their testimony shows how a woman’s menopause can cut right to the heart of a man’s sense of masculinity. My father was unable and unwilling to express his emotions, so I grew up believing that all men were emotional cripples.

I now know this isn’t true, but it took me years to appreciate that when it comes to life, love and loss, in their different way men suffer just as much as women do.... Read More

wileyAn FDA-Approved Treatment for Osteoporosis that Actually Makes Bones Worse!
T. S Wiley notes, “The first line of defense against osteoporosis is natural, transdermal, bio-identical hormone replacement prescribed in a normal cycle. This will do what none of these drugs can do: revive your bones”. The drugs discussed in the following article are contra-indicated for women on the Wiley Protocol.

FDA’s prescription for bone health and osteoporosis has been shown to make bones far more fragile in the long term, and may even cause jaw death and esophageal cancer.

Bisphosphonate drugs are used for treatment of osteoporosis, a disease in which the bones become extremely porous, are subject to fracture, and heal slowly, occurring especially in post-menopausal women. The drugs, which are sold under the brand names Actonel, Atelvia, Boniva, and Reclast, have supposedly been shown to reduce the risk of breaking a hip by 40 to 50 percent and fracturing a vertebra by between 40 and 70 percent

However, this FDA-approved therapy has become even more controversial now that it has been linked to atypical bone fractures after long-term use. The drugs have also been linked to deterioration of jawbone, jaw death, and potential esophageal cancer. An FDA advisory committee now wants the FDA to limit how long a patient may be on bisphosphonate therapy, but committee members cannot agree on an appropriate time limit.

As osteoporosis expert Lara Pizzorno explains, bisphosphonate drugs help prevent fractures in the short-term by suppressing osteoclasts, the cells that remove injured and damaged bone. In doing so, there is no space to replace the damaged bone with healthy bone tissue. Eventually unhealthy bone accumulates and becomes extremely fragile... Read More

wiley Some Breast Cancer Tumors Vanish on their Own
In regards to cancer, T.S. Wiley has always said, there are cancers that will kill you and cancers that won’t. If you have the cancer that will kill you, it doesn’t much matter what you do to it. The difficult decision is deciding to wait, called “the watchful waiting approach” by physicians. This approach is currently being used with early prostate cancer.

A little-noticed Scandinavian study is adding an intriguing new wrinkle to Canada’s debate over breast-cancer screening, suggesting that many tumours found by mammograms — and often treated with surgery — would have simply vanished on their own.

A leading Canadian breast-cancer scientist is touting the research as a possible paradigm shift in medicine’s understanding of the disease, but acknowledges the study’s provocative conclusions and their fascinating implications will divide the scientific community.

“[It] goes contrary to just about everything we think we know about breast cancer,” said Dr. Steven Narod, the world’s most-cited breast-cancer researcher. “It’s a question that will at this point polarize the scientific community into the believers and the non-believers. The implications are extraordinary.”

The notion that many cancers disappear without treatment calls into question the value of some screening and points to potential new ways of tackling the more lethal cases, said Dr. Narod, who practises at Toronto’s Women’s College Hospital... Read More

Warning to Wiley Protocol® Patients and Prescribers:

At Wiley Systems, we welcome any interested qualified compounding pharmacy to join our community and become a Wiley Registered Pharmacy, allowing them to fill Wiley Protocol prescriptions. The requirements are not stringent, and involve a short training, a legal agreement to provide the Wiley Protocol to specification upon receiving such prescriptions, a contract to assure they will only put Wiley Prescriptions in Wiley Protocol packaging, and that they will use our required source of ingredients to assure consistency.

Even though we welcome new members, there are many pharmacies that for one reason or another simply aren’t interested. This is their right, and at any time they are welcome to join our network.

Recently, we’ve discovered many unscrupulous pharmacies that are choosing not to sign up, but claim to doctors and patients that they are compounding The Wiley Protocol. Please keep in mind that unless a pharmacy is on our Registered Pharmacy list found here, they are not in fact a Wiley Registered Pharmacy. This means they cannot by law use the name Wiley Protocol, nor have they been trained on the correct procedures to compound our specific formulations. In addition, they also don’t have access to our custom labeled and colored packaging, dosing schedules, calendars, or prescription insert materials. It’s very likely that they probably don’t know anything about The Wiley Protocol, and you may be risking your health with a pharmacy that doesn’t know what they are doing with a very particular type of BHRT... The quality of the food in America and the GMO's (Genetically Modified Foods) that are destroying it are a bigger deal than you may realize… Did you know that 90% of all foods in your local grocery store contain GMO's and yet not a single label will tell you that they're there? The health risks that come with GMO's are worse than you can imagine... This shows what's going on in California to make things better by getting GMO's labeled (this will set a precedent for the rest of the US to do the same).

Denise in Fort Myers, Fl

I started the Wiley Protocol six months ago because I think I was bottomed out in estrogen. I had started layering on fat, was tired, just so - so about sex, dry and had developed an anal fissure which I battled for about 6 months before Wiley. After about 3 months I noticed my libido was in full force and I was out pacing my husband!...

I have been enjoying the benefits of bioidentical hormone replacement therapy (BHRT) for over 4 years now. I can honestly say that this protocol opened the door to a whole new life for me. But so many people actually don’t know what BHRT is and how it differs from the old fashioned medical version which uses pharmaceutical drugs...

Interview with a Wiley Protocol Provider     For More Information Call 1-800-929-WILEY

We asked Dr. Nirvana how she first came to the Wiley Protocol, what her clinical experience has been thus far and to share a patient’s experience, which she found remarkable:

I was first introduced to the WP through Harbor Compounding Pharmacy. I attended the “Two Days Back on Earth” conference with some of my colleagues. I have been prescribing the protocol for one and a half years with profound and life-changing results for my patients. One of my most remarkable patients came to me a year ago with symptoms of excessive weight gain, lethargy, depression, low stamina, decreased libido and no motivation at all. After completing her labs, I wasn't surprised to find her labs dangerously askew. Her lipids were through the roof and all of her sex hormones were drastically low, including her thyroid.

She was desperate and while she was unfamiliar with the Wiley Protocol, she was eager to get started on the BHRT hormones.

After only 1 week, she called me and reported feeling like another person. Her motivation and stamina were back again, her energy level had increased to the point she was looking forward to exercising and her libido...well, that's self-explanatory.

After one year of being on the hormones, she is back to her normal self but even more invigorated and determined.

Truly a change for the better!

Dr. Nirvana practices medicine in Newport Beach, CA, and can be reached here.

Dr. Patricia Ryan of Omaha, Nebraska says she had been looking for answers to hormone replacement for her patients since 1993. Then she heard about the Wiley Protocol

Dr. Ryan comments: “It was important to me to figure out what was safe, and what the science behind it was. I needed to understand how to handle problems that came up with patients on hormones. Nobody could an¬swer my questions until I met TS Wiley in 2007 and then at¬tended her environmental endocrinology seminar.” Since then, says Dr. Ryan, “I have switched everybody from the linear dosing to the Wiley Protocol rhythmic cycling. I’ve seen improvements in migraines, libido im¬proved, insomnia, and vaginal dryness. Nobody has gained weight, which has been a big issue.... I see their cholesterol levels come down, inflammation decrease, and I can prove it with lab tests. I have also seen total reversals of osteoporosis after a year.” Her favorite sto¬ry is of one patient who experienced a 10% improve¬ment in bone density.

Wiley Protocol Expert Dr. Shira Miller Answers Your Question

Q: I'm really confused when I hear menopause called a "serious chronic disease." Menopause is a natural process, and virtually every woman with a functional reproductive system will experience it, yes? Why on earth would I require treatment if I have no symptoms? Doesn't having no symptoms indicate I have already attended to my health, either by diet, exercise, or just plain luck in the genes?

A: Yes, menopause occurs due to a natural process; however it is also not natural for us to live past menopause. Only in the past 100 years or so have women routinely lived past menopause. And, it is not natural to live in a hormone deficient state. Menopause causes PERMANENT estrogen and progesterone hormone deficiencies for the rest of a woman’s life. These hormone deficiencies reduce the quality of life and increase the risk of accelerated atherosclerosis, osteoporosis, dementia, and rate of aging which people simply write off as “aging”. Many chronic diseases don’t have obvious symptoms (high blood pressure, osteopenia/osteoporosis) but they are still chronic diseases unless they are cured. Furthermore, “natural” is not the standard. Life and Health are the standard. When people go to the eye doctor for corrective lenses as they get older, the doctor doesn’t say “Oh, it natural, so we aren’t going to do anything about it.” www.shiramillermd.com

F.Y.I... We have been told that there are many pharmacies around the country claiming to make the Wiley Protocol. Unless your hormones come in our color coded packaging (green and purple for women, blue and burgundy for men), it says Wiley all over and the pharmacy has our sign in their window, they have not registered with us to make the authentic Wiley Protocol. You would be getting a generic product that will not stand up to federal scrutiny for scientific study.
