In Oct 2003 after meeting Susie, (T.S.Wiley) in a very serendipitous way, I read Sex Lies and Menopause. At the time I was just 52, still cycling with horrendous cramps and hemmoraghing type periods, hadn't slept in 7 yrs, had gained 50 pounds since peri-menopause, was irritable, emotionally crazed at times and my knees hurt so bad I couldn't kneel or sit on them at all. I was taking homeopathic hormone creams from a naturopath.
I found the book to be a truly amazing resource. Susie and I talked in depth, I went to my doctor, she insisted I have an ultrasound to diagnose what she said were fibroids. Apparently my symptoms during my periods were that of fibroids. I had no idea.............. I found out I had 7 small inner-uterine fibroids. I started the WP in Jan 2004. 28 days later I had my first "normal" period in many years, no more cramps, no more clotty-hemmoraghing periods, no need to lie with a hot water bottle. Just bleeding like I remembered when I was young. I barely noticed! I immediately felt emotionally more stable, less weepy, I started sleeping through the night, my knees stopped hurting and I've lost the weight. Almost four years later I have absolutely no sign of those pesky fibroids and may be one more poster child for this protocol. I know hundreds of women who can say this now about their experience with the WP. I'm very grateful to Susie and her research. I encourage everyone I meet to take a look at this protocol and decide for themselves if they want to feel great all of the time. |
