Page 5 of 5 In Conclusion The WHI did not study “bio-identical hormones. The WHI did not study normal replacement that would mimic youthful levels. The WHI findings only apply to women over 65 on synthetics at static nominal doses. The findings of the WHI have no bearing on decision-making when bio-identical hormones are being discussed accept at the level of dosing. At the moment, the Standard of Care in dosing bio-identical, plant-derived hormone replacement therapy rests within the parameters of the WHI. In other words, the dosing regimen of static small doses used in the Study for Premarin and PremPro are the template for all bio-identicals in this country, except The Wiley Protocol®. It bears noting that the dosing regimen that is the Standard of Care, employed by the WHI, has been proven by the NIH to be unsafe and dangerous.
