I attended a lecture by Susie Wiley in 2001, but never believed I would get cancer.  In May of the next year, at age 50, I found a lump in my right breast.  I decided to have a mastectomy but not to have radiation or chemo-therapy.  (I ruled out a lumpectomy because my tumor was large, 3.2 cm and I was very small breasted.)   Since I was not doing chemo, I did not want a sentinel node biopsy.  3 lymph nodes were attached to the tumor so they were removed and one was found to contain cancer.

I am grateful to now be on Wiley Protocol.  I started 9/6/05. I have just completed my third month.  I was referred for vaginal atrophy, post menopause syndrome. I have fibroid tumors in my uterus, and a calcified growth in one ovary.  I will be 68 this month.  I could not tolerate synthetic hormones. My GYN recommended a radical hysterectomy.  Now that won't be necessary.  I am on  E+2 as of 10-30, and P-2 as of 11-21.

I have now been on the Wiley Protocol for almost 2 years.  I am certain that I was a "textbook Poster Child" for the symptoms that T.S. Wiley detailed in her book "Sex Lies & Menopause: the Shocking Truth About Hormone Replacement Therapy".

I was also experiencing night sweats, interval sleeping that was ruining my life, and pounding in my heart, that I now believe was my thyroid gland on over-drive due to menopause.

WP Testimonial

Benefits for me of Wiley protocol:  clear thinking, calm mood, no lower back pain, no "creepy crawly" feelings in both legs, no foot and ankle pain which kept me awake at night, reduced pain in my L arm and neck (from long ago auto accident), no sharp pains to my ovaries and uterus at random, improved digestion, no fatigue, better planning abilities, more able to get out and take long walks, happier.

Compared to the long list of annoying aches and pains I usually have, life on the Wiley Protocol is great. I did have what appears to be muscle pain in my right leg in the beginning months, which is subsiding now.
