I had previously read T.S. Wiley's book Lights Out in naturopathic medical school and had heard her speak at a conference. I was introduced to the Wiley Protocol in my first month of practice when I was invited to the Wiley Protocol meeting in Santa Barbara. I was intrigued to learn more about her multi-phasic hormone dosing and to hear directly from the women on the protocol about their results.

The Wiley protocol completes what began 1000’s of years ago: Hormone Replacement Therapy (HRT). It represents a full circle returning the body to its natural rhythmic cycle. The Wiley protocol initiates a multitude of hormone messages spread across the body refreshing the many systems by re-establishing synchronous recognizable hormone messages. This wave of information instructs the bodies many processes in the usual and customary way that the body has been use to for 10s of thousands of years thus renewing the functional health of the patient.

I became interested in the Wiley Protocol in May 2005 when I heard a CD of a lecture that T.S. Wiley gave at ACAM.  I was very intrigued and purchased Sex, Lies and Menopause.  After reading the book, it became clear why I had an increasing number of patients who were not doing well on static dosing of replacement therapy.
